Arts and Leisure in Newbury Town
The Town Council's Arts and Leisure Strategy 2007-2011
Introduction
This Strategy is designed to set out our vision and to inform all those who wish to provide or participate in Arts and Leisure activities in Newbury Town.
Newbury Town Council recognises the important roles that Arts, Leisure and Heritage play in the community. Newbury already has a wide and varied range of vibrant arts and leisure activities and a strong cultural heritage. The Town Council feels it is important to promote and facilitate arts & leisure within the town, and to encourage greater provision and participation, as this will continue to make Newbury an exciting place in which to live, work and visit.
Newbury Town Council will fulfil this role through its Arts & Leisure Committee, which will act as a catalyst or facilitator working in partnership with other organisations, groups and interested individuals.
