Bring A Pound to Work Day

21 June 2007 saw the staff of Newbury Town Council delve deep into their dressing up box yet again to promote "Bring A Pound to Work" day, which raises funds for the Macmillan Cancer Trust in conjunction with Kick FM.

Schoolgirls and the odd schoolboy abounded, which in turn brought a visit from the lovely Chris Rose. from Kick, complete with recording equipment. A live interview complete with lollipops brought many pounds in from the public and a tour of the Thursday market completed our Charity drive!
