Newbury Town Council held a Family Day in Victoria Park on Sunday 21 May and there was a huge turn out of people who came along to enjoy the free activities in the sunshine with the Mayor of Newbury, Cllr Nigel Foot kicking off the fun.

Cllr Nigel Foot was elected as Mayor of Newbury for the municipal year 2023/24 at the Town Council’s annual Mayor Making ceremony on Sunday 14^th May 2023. Cllr Andy Moore was elected to support him in the role of Deputy Mayor.

The ‘Newbury in Bloom 2023’ campaign is well underway, with only two weeks left to make an entry to the competition.

Newbury Town Council will be holding a Family Day in Victoria Park on Sunday 21 May from 12 noon to 4pm. There will be entertainment for all ages including traditional Punch & Judy shows, dancing and singing on the Bandstand with the Ragtime Theatre School, folk band ‘Whoosya’ and Watership Brass.

The Mayor of Newbury is on a mission to attend as many community events as possible over the course of the Coronation weekend.
