HELP TO SHAPE THE FUTURE OF NEWBURY BY COMPLETING THE NDP SURVEY

We’re creating a Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) for Newbury and would like to hear your views.

By completing Newbury’s NDP survey, you can help decide where new homes, shops and offices should be built. You can have your say on what new buildings should look like and what infrastructure is provided. The survey also covers community, cultural and sports facilities, as well as heritage, business and facilities for young people. In addition, it asks for your views on biodiversity and climate change.

The survey has been extended to 31 January 2023 to give more people, particularly younger and more senior residents, the chance to share their views.

Chair of the NDP Steering Group, Councillor Nigel Foot, said, “We met recently to consider how our survey was progressing and found we needed more responses from residents under 20 and those over 60 years of age. It’s important we hear from young people, as this is their future, and we also value the experience and ideas of residents who are over 60.

We want to know what you like about Newbury, and we would welcome any ideas you have to improve it. If you have views on the scale, height and design of developments, or if you’re concerned about the Climate Emergency, flooding or air quality, now is your chance to let us know.”

To complete the survey go to www.newbury.gov.uk. If you would like a paper copy of the survey, phone 07399 117524 and one will be sent to you. The closing date for the survey is 31 January 2023.
