West Berkshire Council are running a webinar on the 1st of June to try to engage with women from all walks of life within West Berkshire with the aim to encourage more women to get involved in local decision making panels or becoming a Councillor.
Newbury Town Council is pleased to announce the unveiling of its 15th blue plaque, to Doris Page (1925-1991), pioneer campaigner and journalist for disabled people.
Victoria Park has a new attraction just in time for the Easter Holidays! Newbury Adventure Golf will be opening on Saturday 9 April with an 18-hole wildlife themed adventure golf course full of obstacles and exciting features. The Mayor of Newbury, Cllr Billy Drummond will be trying out the course himself on Saturday at 11:30am to officially open the attraction!
The Town Council may have to close playground at Digby Road as vandals have caused considerable damage to the play equipment this week. In the last week there has been a wave of graffiti and damage throughout Newbury, including some of the Town Council’s plays areas and in Victoria Park.
This years Annual Town Meeting will take place from 7.00 pm on Monday 4th April and will feature a display of key moments during the Town Council’s first 25 years, as well as the Council’s Strategy, 2019-2024.
