MAYOR OF NEWBURY INVITES SENIOR RESIDENTS TO FESTIVE AFTERNOON TEA
The Mayor of Newbury is inviting the town’s most senior residents to join him for a Festive Afternoon Tea Party, celebrating the season and the contributions of Newbury’s older community.
Following the success of previous years, the event will take place on Friday 12th December 2025, from 2pm at Newbury Baptist Church Hall. Guests will enjoy afternoon tea with sandwiches, sweet treats, a cup of tea, and a festive (non-alcoholic) tipple.
The Mayor, Cllr David Harman, said, " Our senior residents have given so much to the town over the years. This event is a small way to say thank you and to celebrate the warmth and kindness that make this town so special. I’m really looking forward to sharing a joyful afternoon together.”
Places are limited and ticketed, so booking is essential on a first-come, first-served basis. Guests must be aged 80 or over and are kindly asked to arrange their own transport.
