MAYOR OF NEWBURY’S FUNDRAISING CONCERT RAISES £1,231 FOR BERKSHIRE YOUTH
The Mayor of Newbury’s fundraising concert at the Waterside Centre on Friday 20 February proved to be a great success, raising a fantastic £1,231 in support of local charity Berkshire Youth.
Residents and visitors enjoyed an evening of live music featuring an eclectic mix of performances from popular local acts, including Project Band, The Rokkits, and The Caskettes. The event brought the community together for a lively night of entertainment while helping to support young people across Berkshire.
All proceeds from the concert will go directly to Berkshire Youth, enabling the organisation to continue its vital work providing opportunities, support, and services for young people in the local area.
Cllr David Harman, Mayor of Newbury, said, “I’m absolutely delighted that the event was such a success and that we were able to raise £1,231 for Berkshire Youth. A huge thank you goes to the fantastic performers who gave their time so generously, to everyone who attended, and to all those who helped organise the evening. Your support will make a real difference to young people in our community.”
