SHAW CEMETERY – MEMORIAL SAFETY INSPECTIONS

Newbury Town Council will be carrying out memorial safety inspections at Shaw Cemetery from Monday 23 November 2026, beginning in Section 16.

Trained staff will check memorials carefully and respectfully to help ensure the safety of visitors and staff.

No action is needed from grave owners at this stage. If a memorial does not pass the safety inspection, we will contact the registered grave owner directly.
