A Public Consultation was carried out to seek the opinion of local residents on how the area of Greenham House Gardens could be improved with provisional suggestions for suitable facilities which would complement the area and improve biodiversity.

Cllr Billy Drummond was elected Mayor of Newbury at the Council’s Annual Meeting on 4 May 2021. He takes over from Cllr Elizabeth O’Keeffe who was warmly thanked by the Council for her exceptional service as Mayor over the past 2 years.

The Heritage Working Group consists of members of the Town Council and local historians and volunteers. Because of a recent retirement we are currently under-resourced, and we need to fill this vacancy if we are to continue our programme. The only qualification for membership is an interest in local history and heritage
