Newbury Town Council is pleased to report the outcome of a tree-ring dating survey of the Monument Inn, 57 Northbrook Street, which dates the building reliably to 1675.

Newbury Town Council recently asked all of its 500 allotment tenants on the 6 sites in Newbury to complete a survey regarding their allotment.  

The Town Council’s Green Spaces Working Group, together with HSS Sewa (Hindu Swayamesvak Sangh), successfully planted 20 fruit trees and 10 deciduous trees at the weekend at Hutton Close with the Mayor of Newbury, Cllr Nigel Foot lending a helping hand too!

There was a great turnout for the return of football at Victoria Park on Sunday with two youth team games playing the first matches

There's lots of activities happening in the West Berkshire area being organised by Dementia Friendly West Berkshire.

We are pleased to announce that football is returning to Victoria Park with two youth team games taking place taking place on Sunday 3 December. Local rivals CSA 07 Youth U10 Tigers and AFC Newbury Boys and Girls U10 Red will join friendly battle, and CSA 07 Youth U10 Jaguars will take on Basildon Badgers U10.

Following other successful community planting and pruning days in the town, Newbury Town Council’s Green Spaces Working Group, in partnership with Newbury in Bloom, are seeking volunteers to help seed a new wildflower meadow at Greenham House Gardens (opposite the ‘Burger King roundabout’) on Sunday 10 December between 10am and 1pm.

West Berkshire Council have recently announced the re-opening of the Faraday Road Football Sports Provision with a grand opening event set to take place on 19 November.
